When Lizzie asked if I wanted to move to Australia with her, I knew I would be leaving Europe.
When I finally got my residency approved, I knew we were going to Australia.
When we had our last day at work, I knew we were leaving the Netherlands and going to Australia.
When we left the Netherlands, I knew we were heading to Oz.
After being in Norway and spending time with my mum, I now understand I’m leaving Europe.
I am looking forward going to Australia to hopefully manage to settle there with Lizzie.
You have one life, and sometimes it is better to have tried and failed than never tried at all; but it doesn’t change the fact it scare the shit out of you. Even if I’m very excited about going to Australia and looking forward to the experience, I’m still a bit scared. Australia is more or less on the other side of the planet; that’s far.
When I lived in the Netherlands I could just hop on a plane and be back in Norway within two hours if I had to. Now a flight can take about 23 hours. That’s far; that’s very far.
Luckily I never do anything halfway. When I decide to do something, I follow through.
I think this will not just be a great experience for me, but for us both.
Aut viam inveniam aut faciam!
