I’m in Australia.

When I left London for over a week ago I said I would blog when we finally arrived in Australia. Things haven’t been as easy and calm as I expected. Looking past the 40+ pages I had to fill out for the immigration, it has been very easy to get things settled in Australia.
Lizzie and I got a joint bank account and all I had to show was my passport. To get MediCare I had to fill out one paged form and getting a Tax File Number I went online. So far so good.

We have already aquired an apartment in Brisbane and will be moving there next weekend. Things are looking very bright so far.

What has been a very wet blanket is the bloody jetlag. I thought as I already have a messed up sleep pattern jetlag would be easy. So not true. Still I tend to wake up at around 2-3 am in the morning to fall asleep again; and the first days I suddenly fell asleep around 6 pm on the sofa.
Trying to find a place to live, getting all papers done, wrapping my head around I’m in Australia and finding vegan food has also been a bit stressing. I thought when we would find an apartment it would make things much easier.
I guess it would, if I hadn’t caught the bloody flu! Everyone in the bloody house has the flu. I’m getting better, but it’s still bloody annoying.

When we have finally moved to Brisbane and got the flu out of me I will try my best at being more active with blogging again.

If you haven’t seen me twitter it, I’ve seen wild kangaroos and kookaburras. That is so awesome!
And so far being vegan in Australia is really great!

Live long and prosper.

Note: I have a cold, so please look past any bad grammar or spelling.
