You call this winter?
I think we can say with great certainty that we have more or less managed to settle down in Australia. We moved in to our new apartment close to Brisbane city centre last week and I’ve finally finished assembling all the bloody 13 furnitures we bought. Talking about bloody, my right hand has four really nasty wounds from all the assembling. My thumb is the worst. Hopefully my hand will be better end of this week.
As you can see we also have Internet here. Apparently Australia seems to be still a bit in the dark ages when it comes to certain things, as we actually have a download limit; but in general it’s alright here. It seems to be a large amount of non-technical people here. Hopefully I can be part of changing that.
As of now I’m looking for work and will actively start looking and applying tomorrow. We had a nice long walk today, so I’m a bit tired. It’s winter here and it was about +26 degrees Celsius in the sun. I can get used to warm weather all year long.
I was told Australia loves it’s meat, but being vegan here is too easy. I have never had so many good and nice vegan choices. I love it here!
Traveling from the Netherlands to Norway and staying there for a bit; then going to London from Norway for a few days, and then going all the way to Australia has been exhausting. Of course, it didn’t stop there. We had to struggle with jet-lag, long travels, moving in to a new apartment and getting that ready. It has been extremely exhausting. As an introvert I’m drained 100% for energy. Hopefully being able to sit down for a few hours looking for work and blogging, and listening to music while doing so will recharge my batteries.
