Wham bam thank you temazepam.

I will be honest with you and say that the day before yesterday I was a wreck. Yesterday were not much better, so I opted to use pharmaceutical drugs to help me sleep, rather than natural (legal) drugs. I knew that melatonin or valerian root would be far too weak and would just make me more drowsy in the morning. That is why I ended up enjoying a half pink pill of temazepam; it also has a positive effect on my mood the day after I take it.

I am not going to step up on a soapbox and speak up for making all illegal drugs (depends on where you live) legal or tell you do take a pill to feel better. I prefer to try to let my body sort it out first; if that fails, then I will accept most suggested medication from a medical doctor.
We have become a bunch a cry-babies. Taking painkillers or what not for just minor things. If your body hurt it is a reason for it; usually it means stop being stupid by hurting your own body!
Of course, as I said, if you will feel better by taking drugs, without getting addicted or using it as a safety blanket, be my guest, take whatever helps you get by; I will not judge you.
Legalize it!

I had printed out my papers that showed my university offer; that tipped me over a bit more yesterday. Instead of letting me start in February, they had decided to let me start in late June. That is a long time without money if I am not offered a job.
We drove down to the school and I had a chat with them about it. Apparently they had put me on the fast-track course for some odd reason, without asking me. I admire they have that much faith in me; but they changed it to normal paced course. That means I have a lot of time to get good grades and I can start in late February.
It was really nice to talk to someone who actually listened to what I was saying.

Apparently temazepam can have some odd side-effects. I learned that one of them can be forgetting to take the car keys out of the ignition and looking the car when you park it. Luckily nothing was stolen; as the car for-instance. The missus were not too happy about it. Luckily I could blame my medication for it. Always nice to have someone or something to blame, right? That is what is the new thing with the younger generation, blaming everyone else than yourself and not taking responsibility for anything?

We went for a drive to the Gold Coast to do something different, that is kind of free if you exclude the petrol. Had a nice walk on the beach, to be a bit cliché and had a good laugh at the white people turning almost dark brown from all the sunbathing.
Still I am amazed with the driving here in Queensland. It is almost like they either got their driver’s license by mail-order or are piss drunk when driving; or that they stole the car they are driving. Very few actually follow the speed limit, some like to drive 20 km/h below the speed limit and some do not see your indicators when you want to merge, so you end up having to force yourself into the lane you want to merge to. Some even see it as a challenge if you speed past them without going above the speed limit.
I have actually experience idiots changing lanes when I change lanes to stop me from speeding past them. I solved that by having another car pass me and merge when that car was blocking the idiot.
Wish I did not have to get a driver’s license. I hate cars. Too much is going on. To be honest, I am lucky I have not caused an accident yet.

That I managed to start school in late February has probably had a good effect on my mood, but I also suspect the good old temazepam is kind of guilty too. Or more correctly put, the precursor.

Oh, look at those pretty colours.
