No work, only play?
I was promised to get a call on Friday if I got the job I just got interviewed for this week. Did I get a call on Friday? No. Did I expect a call? No.
This does not surprise me at all though. I do not want to sound all cocky, but I do not think they get many applicants with my experience. They knew that I could walk out the day I get a better job and that fits my experiences and skills.
Some of the jobs I apply for I feel like I am a baker that applies for a job as a butchers. Sure, as a baker I know about hygiene and food, but I am still not qualified for the job. Some jobs I am not surprised that employers think I am overqualified and will leave as soon something better comes along.
It is ironic though. The job market in Europe is still not so good, but I would for sure have a job within a month.
To do something different we went to a friend of ours to have a dip in the pool, eat tasty veggie burgers and play some games. I played Little Big Planet for the first time today and I want a PS3 now.
Glad I have days like this that keeps my spirit up.
I will be busy tomorrow, Sunday, writing cover letters for two jobs. Not sure I will get any of them, but it is better to have tried and failed than never tried at all.
Might also spend some time writing some draft articles for when I get my oh so glorious writer’s block; or when I am just too lazy and tired to write.
Live long and prosper.
