How many days?

It is odd to think about that I have not written anything in this blog for two days. I almost considered living up to the old ‘three is a charm’, but I should not do it, or else I will probably forget how to write.

I do not feel like, nor do I think it is important, that I go into detail why I did not write anything the last couple of days. Let us just say I had a few bad days, like everyone else have now and then in their life. Not so uncommon when you have been unemployed for such a long time.

Being unemployed for such a long time have made me more evasive and have a stronger urge to be reclusive than outgoing.

While I am unemployed and looking for work I could spend it improving my writing skills, but I only wish. Instead I might try to do some volunteering to act like I am doing something more productive than living and old childhood dream. I have already given up on music, so why not also give up on becoming a writer?

I can only hope that my actions lately will secure me a job within this month. Of course, I can not promise I will like it, but I will pretend to smile when I get it and smile even more when I get my pay for pretending liking my job.

When the temperature drops I will rush out to finally ride my bike again. It is far too warm for me to enjoy riding my BMX at the moment. It helped a lot riding around for an hour or three. Feel the wind in my face, forgetting everything and just enjoying cruising around.

Next two days I might publish two pre-written articles, just to relax and be able to not feel forced to write something.

Live long and prosper.

Hey Xen – I’m sorry you’re feeling so awful. I think the only kind of in-person volunteering I would want to drag myself out to do when I’m feeling very reclusive would be something involving animals. They are so wonderful, and they don’t make stupid small talk.

When you get that job, yap, you may not love IT, but you’ll love getting the paycheck. Good luck to you.

Ironically the volunteering that has been suggested is with animals. Still volunteering is something very alien (only fitting word I could think of) to me; it might be a cultural thing, but doing work without pay, seriously? ;)

Oh I wish I would do something in IT. As of now I might settle for being a pizza baker. I think most people will understand why I am so reluctant to take a job like that, regarding my work experience and some of the skills I have.

  2. By volunteering you might not get ‘paid’ in the traditional sense but fine the the right thing and you will find it more rewarding than any non-fulfilling, ‘I do it because I have to’ paying job. Also if you’re trying to break into a career field and aren’t having luck finding a job you might be able to volunteer and that will add to your resume. You said you’re looking for something in IT? A lot of non profits are looking for people to help with computer work such as data-entry, website maintenance and all around computer help.
    Good luck!

Well, IT was just an example really, that I would prefer that over making pizzas.

I know that unpaid work can lead to paid work, but at the moment I need paid work, urgently. I also do not want to sacrifice a volunteering job if I get a paid job, as it is not fair to those who need my volunteering.
I guess I plan too far ahead sometimes.
