Schadenfreude ist lustig, für mich.
I do not mind people consuming alcohol or taking drugs if they want to have fun, but who do, especially, those who drink alcohol talk so much louder than usual? Does alcohol have some kind of effect on the human ear? I should ask Lizzie about that, as she is studying audiology at the moment.
While I am writing this a neighbour is having a party, outside in their backyard. Of course, it is needless to say that I can clearly hear them, but I will say it anyway; because it is bloody annoying. I do not mind to slightly louder hum of people talking, but when people start to scream and shout I just lose my patience.
Gladly mother nature took care of that, for just a short while tough. No worries really, because in a short while she will take care of that for a bit longer than a few minutes.
Just looking at the weather radar now I am grinning and almost jumping with joy, in my chair.
I know it is a bit mean, but sometimes schadenfreude can be rather amusing if you let it.
It might be a Scandinavian Nordic thing as we, unlike the British, actually bothered translating the word ‘Schadenfreude’ to our own languages.
Norwegian: skadefryd
Swedish: skadeglädje
Danish: skadefro
Finnish: vahingoniloisia
It might also just be me being very misanthropic.
