It was just a mistake.

I was a naughty kid like most Norwegian kids are and did a few things that is best left unmentioned, at least for now. If I do as Google and say it was just all a mistake I guess I do not have to have any regrets or feel bad for what I did, as it was just mistakes, right?

If you have no clue about what I am talking about I suggest you stop living under a rock and, how ironic, Google it.

Google seemed like a nice company, proudly preaching to ‘Do not be evil’. That slogan kind got a sour taste when Eric E. Schmidt unintelligently proclaimed that privacy doesn’t exist anymore. And now they got caught war-driving, sniffing wi-fi and collected 600 GB of data.

Of course, it just was all a mistake and they did not know it had happened.
Sounds very plausible, right, not knowing how your own software works and suddenly have over 600 GB stored on your network.

What is more disturbing is that they seem to be getting away with it. A few countries are trying to build a case against them, but it seems to be moving very slowly. I guess if this had been done by a bunch of media pirates or evil hackers crackers this case would be done within a week; everyone prosecuted and sent to jail.

Only mistake they did, as I see it, is that they got caught.

I guess money kind of gives you a free ‘Get out of jail’ card. I will keep that in mind if I ever get stinking rich.
Oh, sorry officer, it was just all a mistake.
