Is Wired at war with Wikileaks?

Before Lamo turned Manning in to the authorities he several times suggested that people should donate to Wikileaks; and those who only spoke up against Wikileaks were disgruntled governments, companies, cults, jingoists or any one who is trying to hide something from the public.

When Lamo had his BFF Kevin Poulsen write an article about him turning in Manning, Wikileaks was understandingly furious. Their [Wikileaks] reaction was a bit juvenile, but I am sure that most people would be very upset if one of your most important sources were revealed. I would probably have reacted the same; I would probably be nastier.

What is interesting is that after they [Wikileaks] criticised Poulsen and Lamo, ‘Threat Level’ [Poulsen's pet project] seems to be at war with Wikileaks.
As a journalist you will always be under scrutiny, and will always have people criticising and nitpicking what you write. Worst you can do is to get emotional and angry — a ‘no comment’ is always better than childish replies and snide remarks, unless you want to lose credibility as a journalist.

I do not mind that Wikileaks are questioned, as any organisation, government, company, etc, needs to know that people will question them so they don’t deviate from their original plan. What I do mind is when someone, like Wired, questions Wikileaks, but throws a hissy-fit when someone starts to question their intentions.

The latest attack on Wikileaks by Wired makes it too obvious that the articles Team Poulsen vomits on our screens are grudge-articles. I do agree that it is odd that they are having some network issues, but on the other hand not; because that is why they were offline the last time, remember? And Twitter, reddit, Digg, Wikiepedia, etc, goes offline now and then, but no one demands that they should change owner or leader for that reason. Most people just shrug and hope their favourite site will come back online again. Of course, when you start to embellish your slanted opinions, it is sometimes difficult to  know when to stop.

I enjoyed reading ‘Threat Level‘ in the past, but now I don’t, and Team Poulsen needs to stop acting like spoiled brats and start being able to handle some criticism. Or like Tallahassee says in Zombieland:

Nut up, or shut up.

It is far too obvious the anti-Wikileaks articles you will find at ‘Threat Level’ are written by someone who got offended. It is too much of a coincidence. Last year Wired seemed very neutral in regards to Wikileaks.
If Wired writes about Wikileaks again I hope it will at least be a neutral article.

Save Private Manning
Support Wikileaks

All I can say this is one messy ‘hacker opera’ [sic]. I am skeptical to what Poulsen and Lamo says, as they have a history together and I obviously support Wikileaks as they are the only ones willing to do what they do.
