Evening rant.
Went to the recruitment seminar and it was the same bollocks as last time.
It is obvious they are looking for someone who will gladly run their mouth ad nauseam, love the sound of their own voice and loves to be the centre of attention. In other words, this is probably not a place for an introverted geek, even if they want geeks.
It is kind of funny how they are trying to sell us their products. They are generally preaching to the choir.
I don’t want to sound too negative, but I found it to be, yet again, a huge waste of my time.
It feels like you are going to a seminar to be sold a product. What it should be about is me, the possible new employee. Ask me what I have done in my life, what I know, what I can do and want to do for you. Don’t bloody ask me what I thought about your presentation of your own company.
I can’t tell you where I went and who the company is, as they made us sign this contract that more or less makes us say that those two hours of our life never happened.
