Has the summer arrived already?
There is nothing more annoying to be woken up several times in the morning when I went to bed kind of late as you had planned to sleep in that morning. It is far too bright in our bedroom as we can’t really afford to get new curtains — I could always get a bucket of thick black paint to cover the windows. It is also the day they collect the rubbish in the early morning.
Even if I did not get up until 9-ish am, I still didn’t feel it was a great night sleep.
As I didn’t have to drive Lizzie to the university this morning I took my time to get ready, which meant I shaved off my week long beard and gave myself a haircut.
Still have the sikha though, even if Lizzie would prefer that I remove it.
I went down to my favourite coffee shop, Lucky Duck Espresso, to get my random daily caffeine fix.
As I mentioned yesterday, they are having a Paint Off pretty soon so I asked the owner if I it was okay for me to take a lot of pictures that day and also possibly write an article about it. I was given a very enthusiastic thumbs up!
I haven’t decided the style of the article, but I am thinking about writing it based on the atmosphere; kind of how I subjectively feel the vibes present that day.
It might also be time to start making a lot of ice cubes as today is really, really warm. Which only means that summer is getting closer and I still hope I will have the energy to still write daily articles.
Now I will grab another glass of cold lime juice cordial and relax a bit before I start cleaning the apartment.
And start looking for cold dinner recipes. Time to cut down on the warm dinners soon.
