Kronic tinkering by a geek
I woke up this morning to a rather interesting article by John Birmingham. He had given the legal weed called Kronic a test. Not sure when this became available here in Australia, but it caught my attention as I am very keen on reliving the old days when I lived in The Netherlands. This inspired me to go on a good old drug hunt.
As I were making plans to head into to city I decided to pick up some extra stuff. A new USB cable and some Wire Glue. This so I could waste some more money on my DIY project with my Eee PC.
It took me about twenty minutes to strip the 1.8 m long cable. Then I spent another twenty minutes trying to figure out where I could the wires outside to the USB slot without having them on the outside or drilling a hole in the casing. It took me probably thirty something minutes to get that done. And a lot of swearing. Then all hell broke loose. I had stripped the USB cable of the outer soft PVC casing and shielding crap. Connected it to the Eee and it still worked as it should. I cut the wires and tried to reconnect them. Did not work.
Error, error, error…
So I gave up. I just have to live with a USB pendrive sticking out from the side. Guess I should stick to only tinker with Linux and bash scripts and stay clear of hardware.
After that ordeal I decided to look around the net to see if I could find any info about Kronic. I found the price to be a bit (no pun intended) too high. Especially when it is not the real deal and you are not told what it really is. Not too keen on paying $40 for 1 gram of fake weed. From what I have been told by a trusted source you can get 1 gram of marijuana for $15-20 here in Brisbane. Or I can just pop down to shop in West End and get 50 grams of damiana for $8. Damiana might not give the same high as weed does, but at least I know what I am smoking.
This morning I was ready to rush out and get a good amount of Kronic to get high as a kite, but on second thought I am not so tempted anymore. It is ironic though. Marijuana is illegal, but Kronic is not. Also, marijuana has not killed anyone yet, but alcohol is perfectly safe? Glad I have someone telling me what is good and bad for me so I do not have to make my own decision. What a horrible life that must be, making your own decisions based on knowledge and experience.
Just legalize it!
